Destiny Dance Company LLC is a dance academy in McLean, VA, providing fun and engaging dance lessons for all ages. Our primary focus is making sure that our students are having fun while learning. Our dance studio is consistently busy and energetic. We like to practice a state of mind where students keep positive energy and movement. We prioritize, above all other things, the fulfillment and confidence of all students and encourage them, maintaining a positive learning environment for everyone. The owner, April, is a native Washingtonian who found her passion for dance in grade school through a local theater program and a church-based dance troupe. Later choosing dance for a career, April studied dance professionally at Towson University.

We understand that we live in unprecedented times as we all figure out how to do life in a historic pandemic, especially how to keep our kids safe. We are facing those same decisions for our two young girls. Like most of you, we have had to balance keeping our kids physically safe while still creating ways for them to thrive. One of the ways we have done that for our family is through dance. Dance creates the space for them to build confidence and to discover more about themselves. Destiny Dance Company LLC is doing the same for many other children in the McLean area. To make sure everyone stays safe, we have made classes smaller, temperatures are checked before students enter; masks are required for instructors and students, and everyone is positioned safely distanced apart. In addition, dance bars, equipment, and high-touch areas like doorknobs are thoroughly wiped down before the next class begins. With most children in distance learning programs through their schools, Destiny Dance Company LLC provides a needed outlet for expression, social interaction, and fun.
